The Bagel Drop project begins on tomorrow, brought to PRMCares by one of Park Road Montessori’s own families! This program helps to reduce food waste by supplying non-profit organizations with bagels to be used within their own service programs for those in need. We have many open spots still left to fill for the month of April. Please consider volunteering your time to pick up and drop off some bagels. Go to www.bageldrop.orgto sign up for this service project (navigate to “Drops”). There are 2 pick up locations to choose from and the drop off sites are outlined for you by day of the week. Pick one that works into your schedule!
(** Please take note that the Bagel Drop is an ongoing charitable effort that PRMCares is highlighting this month. Volunteers are needed throughout the year. The website above will always be a way to help this great effort)
May Event’s search for woodworking parents-
In May, PRMCares hopes to build a Free Neighborhood Library to place on our campus. Ideally, we will be able to build two and donate it to another neighborhood campus. It is the goal to build them from as much recycled product as possible (we already have one shelved cabinet to start). We need a parent or two with woodworking skills to help us make plans and carry out the building/painting/installing of the libraries, as well, we will need families help with materials and labor. Click on our volunteer spot page for this month and let us know if you can help make the May event a rockin’ success! (check out our ideas page as well)
